Yet . . . when anchoring happens using some playful exercises eg. using tennis balls (Marcus Cauchi) or balloons ?
Yesterday I attended a 500 crowd monthly offline gathering on the rooftop of one of Frankfurt's in locations, the ADLIB.
Mingling was easy as such gatherings are meant for fun, dancing, chatting and . . . just having a ball.
Mingling, adding others, greeting late arrivals and introducing cross-wise, changing circles, etc. Some light summer raindrops, new acquaintances . . .
And in the essence after only 1 hour . . .
#1 - Small talk with a loose acquaintance wearing Prada (Assistant to CEO multi-national)
#2 - Talking about and fixing mutual events with co-moderator (Project Manager international stock) including December
#3 - Planning mutual activities for yoga, swimming and cycling - (Jazz Singer and potential sponsor of professional events)
#4 - Discussing with another individual (Music Business) combining their hobby (Tennis) with network activities
#5 - Getting introduced to Mr. Music Business' wife to find out they're in event organizing for country-wide operating training organization and being responsible for one of the biggest banks.
#6 - Getting approached by a potential sponsor . . . out of the blue . . .
#7 - Keeping country sales manager of big UK company up-to-date re. their reference to HRD head in head quarter . . . whilst on the leave . . .
. . . You couldn't possibly plan such schedule, could you ?
What does it need to make such scenarios happen ?
