You have seen some great individual offensive performances in your career. Your teammate, Dave Bing, topped 40 points three times -- Gerry McNamara had the 43-point explosion against BYU in the NCAA Tournament. Have you ever seen anything like Carmelo's 37 points versus Nigeria?
No....he did it in 14 minutes. That's incredible. Over the coarse of a game he could have had 70 or 80 points...or even 90. It was an unbelievable shooting exhibition. Continuing from his last game, he made 14 straight field goals. It was amazing!!

Somewhat overlooked in all the records that were set in the Nigeria game was this one -- 41 assists! Is that a credit to the unselfish play of the U.S. Olympic Team?

Absolutely. I think they are all willing to pass the ball and not concerned with who scores, but that the team scores. They are truly unselfish and having great fun playing together as a team.

The fan support has been really good - we have had the majority of fans routing for us. The sportsmanship has been wonderful, as well. The arena has been packed everytime we play with lots of USA flags and cheers for our team! That is always important!

The team got a day off after beating Nigeria and you were able to do some site-seeing with your family. What were the highlights of London you saw?

We have been to the Tower of London where the Crown Jewels are. They are spectacular!We also went to the London Eye - it is a ferris wheel type ride that travels in slow motion - taking 30 minutes to complete. It took seven years to build and is just amazing. I'm not fond of heights, so it was not easy for me to sign up for that one, but I'm glad I did. The views were amazing! We took a long walk down the River Thames. There are a lot of interesting venues set up for the Olympics and people from all over enjoying the views and the walk. There hasn't been much time for anything else, but we are hoping to get to Westminster Abby and Buckingham Palace. London is full of history, so just a walk down the street is an experience! It is just beautiful here!
